The Infiniti day.

All the posts today will be about the Infiniti cars co.

2011 Infiniti G25 Sedan

Next to the IPL G Coupe, Infiniti will also be unveiling at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance the new G25 Sedan. The new model will go on sale this September at a price of $30,950 USD.

The new G25 sedan is powered by a 2.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine that produces 218 HP and 187 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. It will be available in both rear-wheel drive and intelligent all-wheel drive and three trim levels: G25 Sedan, G25 Sedan Journey and G25x Sedan AWD.

The list of standard equipment will include: leather-appointed seating, Shodo aluminum interior trim, 8-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power front passenger’s seat, Automatic Temperature Control, premium audio system with six speakers, XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately), 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon headlights, 4-wheel Anti-lock Disc Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS).

2011 Infiniti G37 Performance

In just a few days, at the Concours d’Elegance, Infiniti will be unveiling two new special edition models. The first of them, called the G37 Performance, has already been caught total undisguised.

Compared to a standard G37 model, the Performance version gets a redesigned front bumper with a new spoiler element, larger air intake with honeycomb black mesh, and an upper half that better joins the styling lines extending past the sides of the hood. The G37 will also feature a new rear bumper, a replacement decklid spoiler, and optional tailpipes and wheels. The car sits on 19-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza 245/40 tires.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know which engine Infiniti will be placing under the hood. The only thing we do know is that the two new models have been described as "a new engine option, not an all-new model." Something tells us we won’t be getting any information on the new engine until the climactic unveiling at Pebble Beach.

Official details will be revealed on Sunday, August 15th with sales beginning at the end of the year.

2011 Infiniti IPL G Coupe

Infiniti today announced today the new Performance Line (IPL) and the first model in this new line: the IPL G Coupe. IPL models will be identified by a special engine cover and trunklid badging. The IPL emblem is designed to reinforce the strong message and spirit of IPL. The letter “I” features a red insert representing sporty spirit, while the Infiniti-violet “shadow” behind the letter appears like an Infiniti flag to indicate the brand’s Inspired Performance promise.

The new IPL G Coupe is powered by an advanced VQ37HR 3.7-liter V6 engine that delivers a total of 348 HP and 276 lb-ft of torque. The new model will be distinguished by a dramatic front and rear bumper/fascia design with integrated fog lights and black finishers, sculpted side sills, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tips, but also exclusive 19-inch IPL split 7-spoke graphite-finish wheels. It will be offered in just two exterior colors: Graphite Shadow and Malbec Black.

On the interior the car gets red-stitched leather-appointed front sport seats with manual thigh extension and driver’s power torso and thigh support adjustment, red-stitched steering wheel, Silk Obi aluminum trim, and aluminum pedals and footrest. The interior will also get two color treatments – Graphite and Monaco Red.

2012 Infiniti G

When Infiniti unveiled the Essence Concept at the Geneva Motor Show they had announced that the concept would be a preview of the company’s future design language. And while the Infiniti M was the first one to speak that design language fluently, there are rumors stating that the next generation G is going to be the next one to feature the Essence language. The Infiniti G will be revealed in 2012 which is a pretty strange decision considering the G37 has just received a small facelift.

Another rumor flying around the next G is that it will be powered by the same 3.5-liter hybrid combination from the current Infiniti M35 that develops around 360 HP. That is, if it doesn’t follow the concept closely enough to borrow its 592 hp petrol-electric hybrid engine. Of course, taking the new Renault-Nissan-Daimler alliance into consideration, a diesel hybrid is also a possibility.

2010 Infiniti EX30d, FX30d and M30d

Infiniti has launched a new 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that will power the EX, FX and M models. The V6 engine delivers a total of 234 hp and a peak torque of 550 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The Infiniti EX30d makes the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 7.9 seconds, while the Infiniti FX30d needs 8.3 seconds o reach the same speed. The new engine cuts CO2 emissions in the EX to 224 g/kms and helps the model return a combined fuel figure of 8.4 l/100kms. The equivalent figures for FX are 240 g/kms and 9.0 l/100kms.

UPDATE 05/07/2010: Pricing for the 2010 Infiniti FX30d has been announced today. The FX30d will be £45,150 and will come with better fuel efficiency at 31.4 mpg.

2011 Infiniti QX56

The 2011 Infiniti QX56 made its world debut today at the 2010 New York Auto Show. Sales will begin in the summer and customers will have to choose between two models: the QX56 2WD priced at $56,700 USD or the QX56 4WD priced at $59,800 USD.

The 2011 QX56 is powered by a new 5.6 liter V8 engine that delivers 400hp and 405lbs-ft of torque. The engine features VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline and a 7-speed automatic transmission. The QX56 also boasts a 10% fuel economy increase compared to the previous QX model.

The exterior design gets a new, bold front chrome grille flanked by automatic on/off bi-functional xenon headlights, body color running boards, body color integrated front and rear splash guards built into the wheel arches, roof rails, power sliding tinted glass moonroof and a power rear liftgate. The 2011 QX56 is also 1.4-inches longer, 1.1-inches wider and 3.8-inches lower in overall height than its predecessor.

The list of standard equipment includes: an Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, Around View Monitor, Bose 2-channel, 13-speaker Premium Audio System, and available perforated semi-aniline leather seating and a dual 7-inch color monitor DVD system. The QX56 is available with standard 20" wheels and a choice of 6 different exterior colors.

2010 Infiniti G37S

The 2010 G37 has become one of the most popular entry level luxury cars on the market. The line itself has been a hit since it evolved from the original G35 series that, at the time, only featured a sedan and a coupe, which continues to be a top seller for the brand. Fast forward a couple of years to 2008 when the G35 evolved into the G37. The new exterior was more than enough to catch a second glance at the line, however, a new power plant and safety features were also introduced with this new version of the G series. This helped many potential consumers make their decisions when purchasing a luxury sports coupe. Then, in 2009, Infiniti managed to get everyone’s attention yet again by launching a hardtop convertible version of the G37 to the market. The convertible was stunning and some would think that should be enough to please the crowds, however, Infiniti didn’t see it that way. As a result, we are introduced to the Infiniti G37S convertible in 2010 and the crowds have gone wild. Still true to its sleek line, the G37S convertible is able to keep the same sophisticated characteristics that we have come to recognize from Infiniti and, at the same time, increase the way it performs. This is thanks to a new powerplant that is able to allow the G37S convertible to evolve yet again into a luxury sports car with all of the performance and comfort features to back it up.

2010 Infiniti G37 Anniversary Edition

If there’s anything the auto industry has taught us – or in any other aspect of life, for that matter – it’s that time flies faster than you think. That’s especially true now because Infiniti is celebrating its 20th anniversary in US soil this year. That’s right; 20 years.

To celebrate this milestone achievement, the Nissan-owned brand is releasing three special edition models of the G37 – a coupe version, a sedan, and a convertible. This special edition models will be limited to 350 units for the sedans and 200 units for the coupe and convertible. Prices range from $43,350 to $54,900.

The special edition comes with a 3.7-liter V6 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission, Premium and Navigation Packages, Sport Package and 4-Wheel Active Steer.

The cars also come painted in a new Graphite Shadow exterior color and is distinguished by special aluminum-alloy wheels, W-rated summer performance tires, Midnight Black grille, unique front chin spoiler or front fascia, sport side sills (Coupe and Convertible) and rear spoiler (except Convertible).

We didn’t really know that Infiniti was celebrating the big 2-0 in the US until we did some checking. But now that we do, we’d like to toast them for this special milestone. Cheers to you Infiniti!

2010 Infiniti EX30d

Infiniti revealed today the first details on it’s first diesel compact crossover - the Infiniti EX30d. The EX30d is expected to break cover at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The Infiniti EX30d is powered by a piezo-injection 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces a total of 235 bhp and an impressive torque of 406 lb ft. The engine is mated to a standard 7-speed automatic transmission and sprints the car from 0 to 62mph in just 7.9 seconds.

The new Infiniti EX30d will go on sale this summer and will be offered in three different versions. Prices will be announced at a later date.
