The Ford Day .

All the post today will be about The Ford Cars Co.

2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150

Before Orange County Choppers, there was Harley Davidson, and while Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. duke it out as to who is the fairest of them all, Harley Davidson is and will always remain the American motorcycle manufacturer. That being said, Ford has chosen to dress up an F-150 in full HD design.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson F-150 will get a new standard 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers a total of 411 HP and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. It provides an improved maximum trailer towing capacity of 9,300 pounds. "This engine has tons of torque and already has been proven in the field with both the F-150 SVT Raptor and Super Duty," said Mike Harrison, V8 engine program manager. "The exhaust for the Ford Harley-Davidson edition has been specially tuned to feature a throaty V8 rumble customers will love." The engine can be equipped with a SelectShift Automatic transmission.

The exterior of the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 will look a lot brighter with its six-bar-shaped billet-style satin chrome grille and "Harley-Davidson" satin chrome badging. It will also come with 22-inch forge wheels in black or silver and will sit lower thanks to the standard, fully integrated deployable running board.

The interior of the F-150 will see plenty of technological upgrades, including a voice-activated Navigation System, a 4.2-inch productivity screen, power moonroof, and Remote Start System. The interior trim panels will be dressed in Tuxedo Black paint while all of the interior chrome components will have a premium stain finish. The Premium leather-trimmed seats and console lid come with handmade cloisonné badges that are manufactured by the same company that makes badges for Harley-Davidson.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson F-150 is the perfect truck for any true HD fan, but, be careful, this truck is going to cost you. Last year’s model was almost double the price of the standard F-150.

Weitec has unveiled a new tuning package for the Ford Focus RS. The package is called the RSW and includes lowered springs, sports shock-absorbers, and complete coilover suspension systems.

The car’s ride has been lowered by 30 mm thanks to the addition of new SPORT F Springs. If you want to lower the ride somewhere between 10 to 40 millimeters you can opt for the WEITEC HICON GT coilover suspension.

The package also includes the WEITEC HICON TX "plus" coilover suspension. This system allows the setup to be adjusted at any time to the driver’s preferences and the demands of the track. The tuner is also offering a complete suspension solution with pre-set shock absorbers. All elements and dust covers are always included in delivery from WEITEC.

The tuner is not offering any improvements for the engine, but the package is enough to considerably improve the car’s aerodynamics.

It’s a shame Weitec did not offer any exterior modifications that could spice up the popular Ford Focus RS as they did with the Volkswagen Golf back in May. The Golf received the same suspension system, but also got the chance to ride around with Lambo doors and an extensive body kit. It seems they stopped a little short with the Focus

2010 Ford Mustang NASCAR Nationwide Series race car

Today, Ford Racing has unveiled the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series race car. Determined to win this year, Jamie Allison, director, Ford North America Motorsports, announced that any Ford driver who wins Friday night’s Subway Jalapeno 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Daytona International Speedway will receive their own 2011 5.0-liter Mustang GT production vehicle that develops 412hp.

"Normally, when we go to a NASCAR race, the drivers are the recognized stars as far as fans are concerned. That’s not the case this week." said Allison. "Mustang and its debut in NASCAR is undoubtedly a huge story for fans and enthusiasts, and we want to make its debut a little more special for our drivers competing in the race. With a win, they have a chance to put their name down next to some of the Mustang racing legends."

This is the Mustang 5.0 GT’s second appearance in NASCAR since its race car debut at the Daytona 500 back in February.

2011 Ford Mondeo

Ford will unveil a facelift version for their Mondeo sedan and station wagon on August 25, 2010 at the Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS). The new model will go on sale in September featuring a new exterior and upgraded interior, new high-efficiency Ford EcoBoost petrol, and TDCi diesel powertrains.

On the exterior the facelift Mondeo gets new grilles featuring a bolder lower trapezoid and a slim, stylish opening above. It will also receive an enhanced bonnet profile, LED daytime running lights, re-designed rear lights with LED technology, and a new rear deck lid treatment. The interior gets a new flow-through center console design, revised door treatment featuring flush and integrated door release handles, and a new central overhead console featuring ambient lighting.

Under the hood Ford will place a 2.0-liter Ford EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine delivering 240 HP and a new 2.2-liter Ford Duratorq TDCi engine with 200 HP. Next to these two options, the facelift Mondeo will be offered with its standard engine lineup with output ranging from 115 HP to 163 HP.

2010 Ford F-150 VelociRaptor 600 by Hennessey

If the Hennessey tuned-Ford F-150 VelociRaptor 500 isn’t powerful enough for you, then you’re in luck. Somehow, Hennessey shares the same sentiments and have thus decided to give their mountain of a truck its own big brother. In this video, we are given the first look at the new tuned-up 6.2-liter V8 Raptor that is reported to produce over 605 horsepower and 622 lb/ft of torque. Those figures, if you didn’t know, are a jump over the VelociRaptor 500’s output of 501 horsepower and 520 lb/ft of torque and should lead to a significant decrease in time for the 0-60mph sprint. If you don’t remember, the VelociRaptor 500 completed the 0-60mph sprint in 5.6 seconds leading us to believe the new Raptor will complete the sprint in just over 5 seconds. In addition to the more powerful engine, Hennessey Performance also gave this beast of a truck a twin-turbo system with matching intercoolers and a stainless-steel exhaust that clearly doesn’t need any explanation as to why it was put there. Hennessey also added an upgraded fuel system and boost controller because, well, with that much added power, the truck needs a little help in the respiratory department. You want steel-breaking, mountain-crumbling power? This 6.2-liter Ford V8 VelociRaptor is just what the doctor of destruction ordered, even though we cannot possibly think of a reason why anyone would need such a speedy mountain of a truck.

2010 Ford Focus RS Le Mans Classic Editions

Ford unveiled today a collection of just five Focus RS cars in unique color schemes, each paying tribute to the Ford cars which made ’blue oval’ history at the Le Mans 24 Hours. The five cars will be seen in action at the 2010 Le Mans Classic in July. The list of five special Focus RS models will include: a black with silver stripes edition that pays tribute to a Ford Mk II, which was victorious in 1966; a red model with white stripes that is recalling the Mk IV which won in 1967; a white model with a thin blue center stripe surrounded by a red border that pays tribute to the beautiful Ford Mk IIB, entered by Ford France in the 1967 Le Mans 24-hours; a two-tone sky blue and orange edition reference to the modern GT40s which dominated Le Mans in 1968 and 1969 and a two-tone white and blue model representing the livery of the Capri RS 2600 which took the Touring category in 1972. All models will feature a customized interior featuring Recaro seats upholstered in leather and diamond-quilted alcantara, front and back, with stitching that matches the bodywork. They will also feature a gearshift gaiter, hand brake handle, and central arm-rest all upholstered in real leather with a leather safety belt guide for the front seats. Each of the five cars will carry a personalized numbered plaque on the dashboard confirming its exclusivity as part of the collection.
