The Renault day.

All the posts today will be about the Renault cars co.

2010 Renault Zoe Preview

At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show Renault brought the Zoe ZE concept. At this year’s Paris Auto Show the company brings the Zoe Preview, a second version of the electric Zoe, that get a little bit closer to the production car.

The Zoe Preview is powered by an electric motor that delivers 80 HP and 222 NM of torque. The Z.E. would be charged at home or at a publically-accessible charging point. A full charge will take between 3.5 and 8 hours. In emergency, when the customer needs to charge the battery quickly, they can connect via a public fast charge point. This will give 37 miles range in less than 10 minutes or 80% battery capacity in 30 minutes.

The Zoe Preview will be offered with a few equipment package geared to ensuring the wellbeing of its occupants: skin hydration that adjusts the humidity level inside the car to optimize the comfort of its occupants, Detox effect and stimulating or relaxing scent diffuser.

2011 Renault Twingo Miss Sixty

After Fiat unveiled the 500 Pink with its clear feminine distinction, Renault decided that a special edition Twingo developed especially for its feminine customers would be an excellent idea. Called the Twingo Miss Sixty, this special edition was developed in cooperation to the Miss Sixty, the international fashion label of the Sixty group bringing forth yet another successful collaboration between an auto brand and a fashion designer. The car will be hitting the runway at the Paris Auto Show.

This special edition will be available in Bohemian Pink or Pearlescent black and is distinguished by a glamorous exterior with a rock’n’roll interior. The Miss Sixty Twingo will feature a pink-rimmed tachometer and speedometer, a pink-stitched leather steering wheel, and pearlescent black door mirror housings. It may look like pink and black markers have thrown up all over the exterior and the interior of the car, but this funky color combination is what gives this hatchback the glam rock look needed to attract the attention of the feistiest females around.

The new Twingo Miss Sixty will go on sale across Europe this November. Prices will be announced closer to the launch date.

2011 Renault Laguna

Renault brought out the Laguna 3 in 2007, and after only three years of production, they are co,ming out with a facelift version for the coupe. The Renault Laguna lift-back and Sports Tourer will both be getting a little work done before they are displayed at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September. The new versions will go on sale across Europe in November.

The facelifted Laguna will be getting a more aggressive front end design, including new headlamps and a restyled bumper featuring a more prominent grille. It will be available in the dCi 180 engine and will contain the 4Control four-wheel steering system.

And following the new Euro5 emissions standards set, the new Renault Laguna will feature Euro 5 engines and lower CO2 on all engines (including the dCi 110 which emits 10 grams of CO2 less than the previous model).

The Laguna will also have technology spread throughout the interior with a Carminat TomTom Live® navigation system and Bose® sound system.

2010 Renault DeZir

Let’s face it, Renault is a brand consisting of family cars, and besides the new Gordini models, there is nothing in the line-up that inspires sportiness. But the new DeZir concept set to be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show seems to be the exception to that rule. The concept is the first work of Renault’s new chief designer, Laurent van den Acker, and represents a mid-engined, gullwing electric coupe.

The new DeZir concept features a new front-end design that previews the new front-end identity of the next Renault models. The headlights take the form of backlit prisms and the perforated ’eyelids’ add to this high-tech feel and contribute to DeZir’s specific lighting signature. Rear lighting is provided by an illuminated, seemingly floating strip and the Renault logo is highlighted by backlighting through the fins of the grille and consequently appears to hover in the middle of this space.

DeZir is powered by an electric motor mounted in a mid-rear position to optimize weight distribution over the front and rear wheels. The vertically-mounted 24kW/h lithium-ion battery is located behind the benchseat and provides the car with a range of 160km. The new concept can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in five seconds, and from 0 to 50 km/h (31 mph) in just two seconds.

2010 Renault Megane Coupe-Cabrio by H&R

Summer is here; bring out the convertibles! Not to lose out on the prime time for open air coupes, H&R has prepared a new tuning package for the new Renault Megane Coupe-Cabrio just in time for it’s arrival in sales rooms.

To make the Cabrio shine, the tuner is offering a new spring set that lowers the car’s ride by 35-40 mm. The package also includes a set of H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers made of high tensile aluminum. This set is made available to all customers regardless of whether it is combined with OE or aftermarket wheels.

The Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet made its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show. It will be offered with a choice of three petrol engines with outputs ranging from 110 HP to 140 HP and three diesel engines cranking out anywhere from 110 HP to 160 HP; all mated to either a six speed manual or a six speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) automatic transmission.

2010 Renault Latitude

Renault revealed today the first details on a new international status-enhancing family saloon. The Latitude will make its first appearance at the Moscow Motor Show at the end of August and its European debut will occur at the 2010 Paris Motor Show<.

The new Renault Latitude features bi- Xenon adaptive directional headlights, chrome insertions, LED technology, and a chrome rear strip. Standard equipment list includes a dual-mode air ionizer with double fragrance diffuser, triple-zone climate control, a massaging driver’s seat, Bose Premium audio, the Renault hands-free card, and apparently more options that have yet to be revealed. The vehicle will feature a length of 4.89 m, a width of 1.83 m, and a height of 1.49 m.

Other specifications such as the engine choices will be announced at the auto shows in which the Renault Latitude will make an appearance. We can only guess that it will have a variety of petrol and diesel options to market to different regions. The price for the 2011 Renault Latitude has also not been announced as of yet.

We will be sure to get back to you with any further details we can get on the Latitude as soon as they are available.

2010 Renault Modus Evian Masters

Evian Masters is a women’s professional golf tournament that began its course back in 1994. For over ten years, Renault and Evian Masters have partnered for this golf tournament. Through this partnership, Renault will provide a fleet of 90 vehicles to be used by officials and tournament organizers during the course of the event. To mark the Evian Masters tournament’s 17th edition Renault has unveiled a special edition Modus that will be limited to 500 units.

The new Modus Evian Masters is distinguished by its pink and white Evian Masters badging on the front wings and tailgate, as well as by its extra-tinted rear glass and aluminum alloy wheels. On the interior it receives gray upholstery contrasted with pink details (pink being the official color of the tournament) such as the edging of the front carpet mats and the organizer box ring. The interior ambiance is further enhanced by the split leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever knob, as well as by the satin-finish chrome center console and air vent surrounds.

1985 Renault R5 Turbo II

The Renault R5 Turbo (also known as the 5 Turbo) was a high-performance hatchback automobile produced in the early 1980s. The car was designed for rallying, but was also sold in road-going guise. Around 250 units of the Turbo II were imported to the US market, and around a dozen of them are still in circulation.

The R5 Turbo was powered by a mid-mounted 1397 cc Cléon turbocharged engine placed behind the driver in mid-body in a modified Renault 5 chassis. The engine developed a total of 158 HP. The car made the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 6,7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 126 mph.

The Turbo II version was introduced using stock Renault 5 parts replacing many of light alloy components in the original 5 Turbo version.
